Essence of Gathaagudu

$395.00

Limited Edition Fine Art Print.
750mm x 500mm

This work is part of the series »3000 feet«. This project carefully places a frame around selections of endless structures, fractual patterns, shapes and colours of some of Australia’s prestine and remote areas, Shark Bay, Lake McLeod, theGascoyne River, Ningaloo & the Kennedy Range.

»Essence of Gathaagudu« is part of a personaljourney from ranges into river beds, from red

soils to turquoise waters, white salt lakes to vividexplosions of colour. Artistic interpretations of aerial landscapes inspired by raw nature and indigenous art & culture.

These photographs were created on one of many trips on board a small Jabiru two seater aircraft. The door half open, photographer and camera gear strapped in, the plane tilted 90 degrees sideways, flying in a downward spiral to allow the captivating perspective required to create these photographs.

26x26x26

The 26th parallel officially defines the start of the Northern regions of Australia since Colonial times. Till this day some laws still set out special considerations for regional areas “above the twenty sixth”. Here is where Outback Australian legends are made and sub-cultures thrive. In recognition of such a defining delineation in remote-area living, I have chosen this number to define the limited edition series of 3000feet. 26 images from above the 26th printed in a limited edition of 26 prints per image and size.

Each print is signed and hand numbered before it gets delivered to you.
